We can refuse certain Freedom of Information
requests if the information is exempt from
disclosure.
In some cases under the
Freedom
of Information Act we may not be able to confirm or deny if
we hold certain information.
If we refuse any part of your request we will let you know what
exemptions apply to the information you have requested and how we
have come to our decision.
You will also be told how to appeal against our decision.
We can refuse certain requests if they are repeated by the same
person asking for the same information or not genuine attempts to
obtain information and aimed at disrupting our work or harassing
staff.
We can turn down a request if you disrupt our work, harass our
officers or make a request which is part of a campaign aimed at
bypassing the appropriate cost limit.
We will let you know if we refuse your request on one of these
grounds.
We may also refuse on the grounds of cost. |
