Our Citizens' Panel gives you an opportunity to influence our
policies, decisions and services.
The panel is made up of around 1400 local residents who regularly
give their views on a range of issues and services.
It provides us with important opinion research and in effect is a
sample of the adult population of North Somerset.
The aim is to improve our understanding of what people in the
district want, think and feel and to help us improve our
services.
As a panellist you will be invited to take part in around three
surveys each year.
We may also approach you to take part in discussion groups,
telephone surveys or other types of consultation.
The results of these surveys will then be made available online
through this section of the website.
We are keen to recruit new panel members under the age of 30 as
this age group is under-represented.
To help reduce costs you can opt to consult online as print and
postage are the most expensive elements of the Citizens'
Panel.
As an e-panellist you will then be sent an email instead of the
paper questionnaire which will include a link to an identical
online version.
All responses are anonymous so your participation will not affect
any other dealings you may have with us.
All survey responses from panel members are stored and processed
in compliance with the
Data
Protection Act.
The only person authorised to contact panel members is our
Consultation
Officer.
