What can I use the interactive map for?
You can use our interactive map to find your local public services and facilities including: council-run facilities like libraries and children's centres, as well as doctor's surgeries, police stations and your ward boundaries.
How do I access the interactive map?
You can access the interactive map quickly at www.n-somerset.gov.uk/map.
Can I filter my search results?
Yes. By ticking the boxes on the left-hand side of the map you can choose which services or facilities you want to display at any given time. Each of these are displayed on separate map layers so you don't have to view everything at once.
Can I find services local to me more easily?
You can search using your postcode or address. Type this into the search box and a list of matching address will appear when you click search. Select the relevant address and you will be redirected to it.
How do I navigate the interactive map?
You can click on the arrow buttons to move around the interactive map. You can also left click on the map (holding down the mouse button) and move around. If your mouse has a scroll wheel you can use that to zoom in and out.
Can I see aerial photos of the district on this map?
You can toggle between aerial and road map views by click the buttons in the top right hand corner of the map.
How can I find out more about the public services displayed on the interactive map?
Click on the icon displyed for each service on the map, and you'll see a call-out box with more information about the service. Sometimes there will be a link back to another webpage for more detailed information.
