Decisions, which are called key decisions, that are to be taken
by an Executive Councillor have to be displayed on this website
five clear days before they can be taken. This is to give members
of the public an opportunity to view the decision that is proposed
to be taken before the decision has actually been made, and to give
members of the public an opportunity of making comments to the
Executive Councillor, either in writing or by e-mail to the
Executive Councillor concerned. That is why there is a date
recorded as the "Decision not before" which indicates the date
before which the decision cannot be taken. Once the decision is
made it is subject to a five day period within which other
Councillors can ask to review the decision.
