Partnership Funding 2007/08
Decision made by EM - DL: 1. That the funding
allocated to the Safety Camera Partnership in 2007/08 is reduced to
£214,399 and that positive speed enforcement is provided for the
remainder of the year at sites to be agreed by North Somerset. 2.
That £100,000 of the road safety grant is re-allocated this year to
schemes highlighted in Appendix 1 of the report, not including the
£71,000-£98,000 set aside for Local Safety Schemes and Education
Training and Publicity programmes. 3. That the Safety Camera
Partnership is given notice that if it does not substantially
reduce its costs, North Somerset Council will withdraw at the end
of the current financial year and future funding will be dependant
on the conclusions of the UCL report.

Decision made by EM - DL: 1. That notice is served
on the owner of East Town Farm under the provisions of Section 143
of the Highways Act 1980 requiring the removal of the wall and
porch from the public highway and the highway reinstated to the
lines and profile that existed prior to the wall being built; all
at the cost of the landowner.
2. That if this is not done the highway authority exercises its
right to enter the land to remove the structure, after the
expiration of one month from the date of the service of the notice
and action is taken to recover the expenses.
