Latest service changes

There are timetable changes to bus services at the beginning of April.

New Locking Parklands Connect service L1

From Monday 31 March, a new community bus will operate between Locking Parklands and Weston town centre and Weston Railway Station. The service will be operated Mondays and Fridays by Weston and District Community Transport. For more information, download the Locking Parklands Connect leaflet (pdf).

Pier Buses service X7

From Tuesday 1 April, the service X7 will no longer operate on Saturdays. The last Saturday service will run on 29 March. The timetable Monday to Friday will not be affected. This is a commercial decision by operator Pier Buses.

First Bus services

From Sunday 13 April there will be a number of changes to First commercial services:

  • Service W1/X1
    Service 1 will be renumbered service W1 and there will be minor amendments to the timetable. The Saturday X1 service will be reduced from every 20 minutes to every 30 minutes. The Sunday & bank holiday W1 service will be increased from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes.
  • Service 7
    During the off peak times (9am-3.30pm) Monday to Friday, the service will be reduced from every 10 minutes to every 12 minutes. During the evening Monday to Saturday, the service will be reduced from every 40 minutes to every 45 minutes.
  • Service 5
    During the morning and afternoon peaks Monday to Saturday, the service will be reduced from every 30 minutes to every 45 minutes.
  • Service X4/X5
    The 6.25am X4 journey from Weston-super-Mare to Clevedon will be withdrawn. The 6.45am X5 journey from Weston-super-Mare to Clevedon will be renumbered X4 and will operate via M5.
  • Service X8
    There will be minor amendments to the timetable.
  • Service X9/X10
    A new service X10 will be introduced to complement service X9. This service will operate between Bristol and Nailsea during peak times via Long Ashton and Wraxall.
  • Service A1
    During the day Monday to Friday, the service will increase from every 10 minutes to approximately every 8 minutes.
  • Service 21
    An hourly Sunday service will be reinstated for Weston-super-Mare.

WebberBus Bridgwater College services

Pier Buses – Service X7

Pier Buses ceased trading on Monday 14 April. Pier Buses operated service X7 between Clevedon and Bristol via Failand on a commercial basis. Passengers with pre-purchased tickets for service X7 can use these tickets on services X6 and X8 from Clevedon to Bristol.

Disruption to bus services

Road closure - B3133 Yatton and Kenn

From Sunday 2 February to mid-April there will be a series of road closures along the B3133 in Yatton and Kenn. These closures will take place overnight from 7pm to 6am on Sunday to Thursday nights. Friday and Saturday nights will not be affected.

During these closures, the last two departures on bus service X5 from Cribbs Causeway at 5.41pm and 6.45pm will operate a diversion via the M5 and will be unable to serve stops in Kenn, Yatton, Congresbury and along the A370 to Junction 21 of the M5.
