Bus stops and shelters
We work with parish and town councils to maintain bus shelters in North Somerset. We have installed new shelters, and improved bus stops by building raised kerbs for easier access. Real time information displays that tell you when your bus will arrive are installed at approximately thirty locations on the Weston-super-Mare to Bristol bus corridor, and more are planned. To report bus shelter damage contact our public transport team.
Greater Bristol Bus Network
The Greater Bristol Bus Network is a collection of showcase bus routes with improved infrastructure, including bus lanes and shelters, low floor buses and increased timetable information - including real time displays. The two routes in North Somerset are Weston-super-Mare to Bristol (X1 and 1) and Portishead to Bristol (X2 and X3). For more information visit the Travel West website.
If you drive a minibus for voluntary and non-profit making organisations, you will need a permit, which you can apply for on request. For more information contact our fleet management team.
