Urgent road maintenance work will be carried out
in Weston-super-Mare next week.
Carriageway repairs to improve the surface and in some cases the
sub surface of the road following subsidence will take place in
Winterstoke Road on Monday (12 May), Tuesday (13 May) and Friday
(16 May).
The work will take place between 9.30am and 3.30pm to minimise
disruption and manually operated stop and go traffic boards will be
in place.
However delays are expected and some drivers may wish to select
alternative routes.
Similar work to repair road subsidence on a short stretch of
Herluin Way between Searle Crescent traffic lights at the Hutton
Moor Rd turn off will also take place on Wednesday (14 May).
This will require a partial lane closure on the eastbound
(outgoing) lane from 9.30am while the work is carried out. Both
eastbound lanes will also need to be closed from 8pm to 6am while
the concrete dries and to complete the works.
Delays are expected and drivers are asked to use the signed
diversion route.
Details of other road schemes can be found in our weekly road
works report. |
