The Flax Bourton Greenway provides a sustainable
transport link between Flax Bourton, Nailsea, Backwell and Long
Ashton.
The path means that walkers and cyclists can travel between
Nailsea and Long Ashton and avoid sharing both the A370
and B3130 with hundreds of cars and lorries.
The new path follows the railway line and transforms the way
that people can travel in this part of North Somerset.
You can download the
Nailsea area and Flax Bourton Greenway map
to have a look at the cycle routes.
The easy gradients, surfacing and access controls make the path
ideal for wheelchairs and pushcairs, and most cyclists
will find the compacted stone-dust surface gives a comfortable
ride.
You can look at all our local cycling routes by downloading maps
from
Cycle West.
Hard copies are also available free from
your local library, the
Tourist Information Centres
and Somerset
House in Weston-super-Mare.
