Improving public transport links in the Greater Bristol
area.
We’re working with Bristol City Council, South Gloucestershire
Council and Bath and North East Somerset Council to deliver the
Greater Bristol Bus Network (GBBN).
In North Somerset, we have two GBBN showcase bus routes:
- Weston-super-Mare to Bristol - bus services X1, 352 and
353
- Portishead to Bristol - bus services 357, 358 and 359
All GBBN bus routes are benefiting from improved bus
infrastructure, including
bus lanes
and shelters, low floor buses and increased timetable
information. We’ve installed real time information displays at
selected bus stops and plan to increase the number of displays in
the next few months.
We’re also working with bus operators to introduce quality
partnership schemes on our GBBN showcase bus routes.
