We provide bus lanes across North Somerset to
improve the reliability of bus services and cut journey times for
other road users.
Road signs alongside these lanes explain which
vehicles can use them and at what times.
Parking or driving in a bus lane when it is in use is an offence
and can lead to a fine with these rules enforced by
the police.
Occasionally cars with two or more passengers are allowed to use
designated lanes, known as High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes,
which are also identified by an appropriate road sign.
We are also responsible for the maintenance of bus shelters in
parts of Weston-super-Mare.
For further information or to report bus shelter damage contact our
Streets and Open Spaces service. |
