We want to make it as easy as possible for you to
develop a high quality travel plan for your workplace or
organisation.
The best starting point is our
iTRACE system to find out how to run a travel survey,
produce a Travel Plan document and more.
Wherever you are based in the district car sharing provides one
of the best opportunities to reduce your organisation's reliance on
single occupancy car journeys. Our
2carshare.com system is a
council-promoted car-sharing scheme. It is well
established across the West of England area with
over 8000 users. Download
our car share leaflet (pdf, Mar 10, 402KB).
A private car-sharing website for your company or
site, within 2carshare, can also be set up at a cost.
Download the
Travel Smarter (pdf, Mar 12, 128KB)
leaflet published annually by the four West of England
councils, to find out about the main contacts and
websites for the sustainable travel options people have. To
order copies contact our
Sustainable
Travel team.
We can also supply free maps and leaflets such as the North
Somerset Cycle Map and North Somerset Travel Map detailing all
public transport within the district. Electric-assist cycles are
rapidly becoming more popular. Download
our electric bike leaflet (pdf, Mar 10, 1.4MB)
for more information.
All our cycling resources are now also available
online, visit
the Better By Bike
website.

If you need to install facilities such as cycle parking or
showers, or make any other improvement that can be shown to
encourage sustainable travel behaviour you may be eligible for
our Sustainable Travel Grant scheme.
Sustainable Travel Roadshows
If you are an employer based on the Weston-super-Mare or
Portishead - Bristol corridors we are able to offer
Sustainable Travel Roadshows at your workplace, with support
services such as adult cycle training and a Borrow a
