We are responsible for maintaining and installing
pedestrian crossings across North Somerset.
We look after zebra, pelican, puffin, toucan
(cyclists) and pegasus, or horse, crossings within the
district.
Before deciding to install a crossing we take into account peak
traffic volumes, pedestrian numbers and local factors such as the
presence of nearby hospitals, shops, schools and railway
stations.
