There are restrictions on the use of our pay and display
car parks.
The following apply unless permission from North Somerset
Council has been granted:
- All vehicles must be able to fit in the marked bays (maximum
vehicle dimensions not wheelbase)
- No selling
- No commercial activity
- No washing of vehicles
- No fuel transferring
- No maintenance of any vehicle
- No windscreen leaflet dropping (fly tipping)
- No erection of stalls, or structures.
- All rubbish and waste must be taken away or placed in the bins
provided.
All North Somerset Council car parks are subject to a 10mph
speed limit unless otherwise stated and signed in that car
park.
For all other restrictions please see the individual notices in
that car park.
Vehicles without permission may be subject to a
fine.
Short stay car parks (Weston-super-Mare)
Knightstone Causeway
Melrose*
Grove Park
Carlton Street
Locking Road (part of)
- No campers or motorhomes (*except in designated bays in
Melrose)
- No caravans
- No trailers
- No overnight sleeping
- No coaches
- No LGVs
- Commercial vehicles, including vans, may use the car park up to

they can fit within the marked bays, total overall dimensions not

Long stay car parks (Weston-super-Mare)
Hampton

they can fit within the marked bays, total overall dimensions, not

- Coaches, LGVs and commercial vehicles may park in the large
spaces allocated within the car park.
Seasonal car parks
Marine Parade and Beach parking
(Weston-super-Mare) (No access after dusk)
- Campers or motorhomes may park on the beach car parks
- No caravans
- No trailers
- No overnight parking or sleeping
- No LGVs
- Commercial vehicles, including vans, up to a maximum vehicle
weight Unladen 1525kg or Gross 2033kg, if parking on Marine Parade
those must fit within the marked bays, total overall dimensions not
wheelbase
- No open fires
- No food preparation in any parking areas
- Coaches may use the coach lane for dropping off and picking up
of passengers (20 minutes maximum wait)
- No motorcycle or any motorised vehicle fitted with handle bars
allowed on any beach car park.
Salthouse Fields (Clevedon) (This car park is
locked overnight)
- Campers, motorhomes or coaches may park in the
designated bays only.
- No caravans
- No trailers
- No overnight sleeping
- No LGVs
- Commercial vehicles including vans may use the car park up to
a maximum vehicle weight Unladen 1525kg or Gross 2033kg if
they can fit within the marked bays, total overall dimensions not
wheelbase
