As part of the continuing programme of investment in the
road network, we will be carrying out works on the B3133 Kenn Road,
Kenn from today (19 December).
These works, programmed to last five days, consist of
resurfacing the carriageway, in a scheme costing around
£91,000.
For first two days the work will be carried out under temporary
traffic lights and restricted to off peak hours (9.30am to 3.30pm),
to avoid excessive queues.
However from 21 December to 23 December the road will be closed
to all through traffic. This is due to the narrow road width which
would not allow traffic to pass safely. The road will be closed
from the junction with Kenn Street through to the junction with
Lampley Road. An alternative diversion route will be signed.
The works will be carried out by Balfour Beatty Infrastructure
Service on behalf of North Somerset Council. While some congestion
and delay is possible, road users are asked to be patient while the
work is carried out.
