We are responsible for maintaining trees owned by
North Somerset Council.
We will fell or prune dead, dying or dangerous trees as well as
dealing with overhanging trees for safety and legal reasons
following investigations.
We aim to inspect reported dangerous trees on the same working
day and will plant a new tree when one has to be felled - except
for dead elms and on unsuitable sites.
We also deal with insurance claims relating to trees.
Our service does not include felling trees if they are casting
shade, interfering with TV or satellite signals, blocking views,
overhanging gardens or for any other non-legal reason.
For trees covered by preservation orders contact our
Tree Preservation Officer.
