Excluding major work on the principal road
network, we spend about £1.8m on road and path maintenance each
year.
This includes surfacing, drainage and reconstruction
works as well as gully emptying and verge cutting.
In addition we are responsible for street lighting, bridge works,
traffic management and winter maintenance.
If you spot any highway damage, such as cracked or missing paving
stones on a pavement or potholes in a carriageway, please provide
us with details of its extent and location and we will inspect it
and take appropriate action.
