We may close roads to allow events or parades to take
place within North Somerset.
This is usually only done under special
circumstances and we require at least six weeks notice and up
to three months in some cases to close any routes.
Roads can closed off to general traffic by using a
traffic regulation order which are granted with the written
agreement of the
police.
However, we do not deal with road closures for demonstrations
where organisers must contact the police for permission.
All costs involved in the closure of roads are borne by the
event organisers.
