North Somerset Sure Start Children's
Centres provide a number of useful services for both you and
your child within your community including:
- child and family health services, ranging from health visitor
services to
breastfeeding support
- family support, including outreach and home visiting
- information on childcare and early learning and local support
groups, through the
Family Information Service
- classes for parents, drop-in sessions, healthy eating
advice
- help for you to find work or training opportunities, using
links to local Jobcentre Plus offices and training
providers

other professionals who may be working with you or your
family.
Each Children's Centre will have its own Partnership Group. This
is made up of parents and representatives of other
organisations who help steer the development of the
centre.
