The Integrated Children's System (ICS)
will allow staff to use social care
information to improve outcomes for children in need across North
Somerset.
Only authorised professionals involved in children's social care
will be have access to the ICS with the level of access granted
according to their role.
It is designed to support the existing electronic case
record system with access granted according to the role of
the practitioner.
They will be given relevant training in the safe and secure use
of the system and its information.
This will include stressing the importance of following the
Data
Protection Act and the
Human
Rights Act.
All users will also be subject to a
Criminal Records Bureau (CRB)
check.
