Inter-country adopters have to fulfil similar
criteria to domestic adopters but these
requirements can vary from country to country.
Each country has its own adoption requirements which must be
fulfilled before you can adopt a child from within its borders.
This can be linked to your age and circumstances and
you will be given advice about each country's requirements after
you have registered an interest.
If you are interested in inter-country adoption you will have to
undergo an assessment before any decision is taken on you adopting
a child.
If you would like to begin the process for an inter-country
please contact our
Adoption Team or
fill in our Adoption interest form.
Alternatively, for further information visit the
Intercountry Adoption
Centre website.
