Fostering

We help find temporary homes for children who cannot live with their own families because of illness, family crisis or the risk of neglect or abuse.

We particularly need to recruit more carers for groups of brothers and sisters, for children with disabilities and for teenagers.

We are also looking for more foster carers who are black or of mixed ethnicity.

There are many different  types of fostering and we offer support and training to all our carers who also receive an allowance to cover all the costs of looking after a child.

If you would like to become a foster carer fill in our online form and we can send you an information pack.

A foster carer or social worker can visit your home to talk about fostering.

We will then invite you to a meeting to give you more details about the next stages of fostering and you can then decide whether you want to go ahead.

Alternatively, download our fostering information leaflet or foster carers support and training information sheet for further information.
