We support adoptive parents throughout the whole
process and after adoption has taken place.
Caring for adopted children with complex needs is a lifelong
commitment and we expect you will need to use our support services
sometime during their childhood.
These services are an important legal requirement of the
adoption process and we are committed to helping families cope with
their newfound responsibilities.
Our help can take many forms and includes the following:
- Training - Provided before and after your
approval for adoption and once a child is placed with you. Includes
a series of workshops and access to a comprehensive training
programme
- Letterbox - We manage a letterbox service
exchanging letters, photographs, cards and audio tapes between
adopters and children's birth families
- CONSULT! - A service to help adopters deal
with the mental health needs of their adopted children
