We are looking for a wide variety of adopters to
provide families for children who need them.
This is because the range of needs presented by children who are
up for adoption is enormous.
You must be over the age of 21 years of age if you plan to adopt
but there are no other strict lifestyle criteria related to become
an adopter.
You can be married, living with a partner or single, employed or
unemployed or living inside or outside North Somerset.
Above all, you will need to
understand a child's needs, time and energy and commit to helping
them throughout their
life.
Adoptive homes are needed for children of all ages but very few
babies need adopting.
However, homes are especially needed for children over two years
of age, sibling groups who need to be placed together, children
from minority ethnic groups and those with disabilities.
If you are interested in adopting please fill in our
Adoption interest form or contact our
Adoption and Fostering Team on 01275 888
