It you wish to claim benefit within North Somerset
you will need to fill in one of our claim
forms.
Only one form is needed to claim for both housing and council tax
benefit.
To claim now download and fill in our
Benefit claim form using black ink writing clearly in capital
letters.
Please fill in all relevant parts of the form but if you are
unsure of anything download our
Benefit claim notes for advice.
Alternatively, call us on 0845 601 9625 and we will call you
back to complete your claim over the telephone.
Copies of the form - including large print, braille and translated
versions - are also available via our helpline on 01934 888 136 or
the Town Hall in Weston-super-Mare.
All lines are open from 8.45am until 5pm from Monday to Thursday
and 8.45am until 4.30pm on Friday.
Completed forms should be returned to the Town Hall in person or to

If you are housebound we can visit you within 10
working days to complete your form and check your
documentation.

Alternatively, if you are uncomfortable filling in forms we can
complete a form for you via an appointment at the Town Hall.

In a bid to crackdown on benefit fraud we are part of a central
government initiative called the verification framework where we
process claims in person.
It means new benefit claims can now be conducted in person via
an appointment at the Town Hall.

verify the information and documents you have provided.
