We are inviting applications from suitably qualified
providers who wish to be considered for entry onto North Somerset
Council’s Framework Contract to deliver this Continuing Health Care
Service only.
Providers are asked to submit information, which is detailed in
the application pack. Applications will be subject to an evaluation
process, which will look at the information submitted and this will
be scored against a set of criteria.
The closing date for applications is 2pm Friday, 9th December
2011.
Who can submit an application?
Applications for entry onto the Framework Contract are open to
domiciliary care providers who currently have:
- No formal contracts with North Somerset Council;
- An existing contract with North Somerset Council.
Prior to applying please ensure that you can meet the below
criteria,
- That each Provider will have a local office address. ‘Local’
includes the areas of North Somerset, Bristol, South
Gloucestershire and Bath and North East Somerset. Any Provider who
does not currently have an office in one of the local areas and is
successful with their application will be required to have a local
office base within the first 3 months of implementation of the
Framework Agreement (i.e. by 31st March 2012).
- Any Provider who does not currently have an Electronic
Monitoring System and is successful with their application will be
required to have system up and running effectively within the first
3 months of implementation of the Framework Agreement (i.e. by 31st
March 2012).
What will happen next?
An evaluation will be carried out on the application submission.
This will involve scoring the information provided against a set of
criteria, and making a decision based on this as to whether the
provider meets the required standard expected by North Somerset
Council and NHS North Somerset.
Providers that meet the required standard will be awarded entry
onto the Framework Contract, which will be implemented on Monday
19th December 2011.
Please note that this is a spot purchase contract and entry onto
the Framework Contract does not guarantee the Provider work from
North Somerset Council.
