If you are entering hospital you should notify us about
any housing or council tax benefit claims you may
have.
You should also notify the Department for Work and Pensions
(DWP)
It is important you contact us and the DWP as your entitlement will
usually be reassessed to take account of your new
circumstances.
If you were not claiming any form of benefit prior to entering
hospital you may be entitled to claim.
You should also contact us and the DWP again when you leave
hospital so we can reassess your claim and see if you are entitled
to any new benefits.
