We deal with discarded needles, syringes and other
drug-related items that pose a danger to the people of North
Somerset.
We advise you not to pick up these items unless they pose an
immediate danger to you or other members of the public.
There are a number of hazards associated with handling these
items and you should contact us to remove and dispose of them
safely.
To report an incident contact
our Streets and Open
Spaces service, we will collect any reported needles
and syringes within two hours.
Any needles found on school or nursery sites during
working hours should be reported immediately to on site staff who
are trained to deal with these situations.
Specialist needle exchange facilities are available
at ARA at 31 Alexandra
Parade, Weston-super-Mare and at various pharmacies. For more
