Disabled Children's team

We assess the needs of disabled children and provide information on available services and resources within North Somerset.

One of our social workers normally visits the child and their family or carers at home to identify and prioritise their needs.

We also liaise with the school and other professionals involved in the child's life.

Services are agreed with them and considered at one of the monthly Disabled Children Resource Panels meetings.

A plan is then set up and reviewed a minimum of every six months.
