We are responsible for arranging personal care services
for people in need across North Somerset.
We help people with disabilities or illnesses remain in their own
homes.
However, where this is not possible we can arrange accommodation in
a residential care home.
We will work together with you and your carer to assess your social
care needs and jointly decide how you can best be helped.
Following this assessment it may be decided that some or all
of your needs would best be met by providing respite care.
You will also be financially assessed in the same way as for
permanent residential care and based on your ability to pay.
Respite care may involve you staying in a residential or
nursing home.
