Carelink is a personal alarm and monitoring and
response service
The Carelink Service installs the personal alarm equipment and
provides a 24 hour 7 days a week monitoring and response
service.
Your existing telephones are connected to the Carelink Monitoring
Centre, via the alarm equipment, which is activated when the
trigger on a pendant or wrist strap is pressed.
The Carelink equipment is quickly installed. The only
requirement is a standard telephone point and an electric power
point located on the same wall. You will also need to nominate two
emergency contacts who have a key to your house.
The alarm trigger should be worn at all times, (except in bed), and
can be used anywhere within the home, or in the garden. It is
tested at several points when first installed to make sure that it
will operate in a wide area.
When an alarm call is received by a Carelink operator they will
respond and clarify the problem. The operator can speak to you even
when you are not near the telephone and they will alert your named
contacts or the appropriate emergency services.
