Our home care assistants can help with a variety
of household tasks.
This can include taking care of your laundry,
housework, shopping or the payment of bills or collection of your
pension.
If laundry is part of your care plan and you have your own
washing machine, your assistant will use your machine.
If you do not have a washing machine a service may be arranged
from a local launderette or other available laundry facility.
Some hand washing may be acceptable for small items but our
assistants are not allowed to take laundry to their own homes.
Essential cleaning tasks my also be carried out if it is part of
your care plan.
If you need help with shopping our assistants require a list
which you can write in advance or dictate to them.
Your shopping will be done at local shops or the nearest
supermarket and all the receipts and prices for the purchased items
should be shown to you for you to check.
Assistants can also help you pay bills or collect your pension. You
should be provided with receipts for all transactions and check
your money while they are present.
