Our home care services are commissioned either from
our own In-House services or from the Independent
Sector.
The services we commission are monitored by our Contracts Team,
and are registered with
the Care Quality Commission.
All these services are required to meet national minimum
standards which are set out in the Care Standards Act (2000).
We offer a wide range of personal care and practical support to
help you make the most of your own abilities. The services
are designed to enable as many people as possible to remain living
in their own homes and reduce the likelihood of people needing to
enter long term residential or nursing care.
Staff will work with service users and carers to design a
service plan that matches service users’ priorities and meets their
specific, personal needs.
Home Care services are provided following an assessment by a
Care Manager from one of our Adult Care Locality Teams.
Service users will be charged for home care following a
financial assessment. The charges will be in line with North
Somerset Council’s
Home Care Charging Policy.
