Working Together Manual

The manual is for the use of those who work with children in need including those in need of protection.

It has been split into the following sections which provide the foundations for multi-agency working and the safeguarding of children within North Somerset:

• Section One - Children In Need And The Assessment Framework - Guidance to agencies, organisations and all staff who have professional contact with children, young people and their families and contribute to their assessments
  
• Section Two - South West Child Protection Procedures (SWCPP) - Agreed South West procedures based on Working Together to Safeguard Children 2006. Should be used in all child protection cases and will develop over time
  
• Section Three - Working Together to Safeguard Children 2006 - Complete national guidance which should be referred to for subjects not covered by the South West procedures in Section Two
  
• Section Four - Local inter-agency protocols and guidance - Practical guidance and information about local protocols for agencies working with children and young people within North Somerset
