Age UK Somerset Together Service has been funded to
provide a service aimed at reducing loneliness, providing an
opportunity to meet others and access services and social
activities.
Trained volunteers make regular visits to people over 60 who
have the greatest need. They take on on some of the features
of a traditional befriending service, but also incorporate a more
enabling approach by:
- accessing people in their own home
- improving quality of life
- promoting confidence
- and so much more
