We own and manage a large estate of woodlands across
North Somerset and ensure its protection for you and its native
wildlife.
We work closely with local interest groups, local councils and
the Forestry Commission to
maintain the 160 hectares (400 acres) under our control in an
environmentally-friendly way.
We run a nature conservation programme to protect their heritage
features and promote educational and community participation in
local projects through our
Ranger
Service.
However, our services do not include felling or pruning trees
(unless it is part of the management plan) or carrying out this
work on private woodlands.
For more information download our
woodland management service standards
or contact our
Streets and
Open Spaces service.
