We provide a service where members of the public
can donate a bench or tree to commemorate an important person or
event at selected parks and open spaces.
Benches are strongly made hardwood seats with cast iron ends and
examples can be seen in all our parks. We will agree a location
with you and if you wish you can provide a plaque with wording of
your choice which we fix to the seat.
Memorial benches cost about £600 with an additional cost of
£150 if a
concrete base is required.
You may decide to donate a tree or specimen shrub as a memorial
to a loved one. Our Tree Officer will be
pleased to discuss with you the most suitable plant for your
preferred location. The cost will depend on your preferred tree
size and species choice.
