A new off-site policy was launched on 1 August
2005 and has replaced the existing trips and excursions
policy.
Staff must be familiar with this policy before undertaking any
off-site activity with young people.
A copy of the
off-site policy is available to download.
The briefing ensures you are familiar with the new aspects of the
policy including:
- Different categories of visits
- Use of block consent forms
- Risk assessments
All professional youth workers and senior youth support workers are
required to attend a briefing.
All other staff, including administration colleagues and assistant
youth workers are also welcome to attend.
