We organise a number of walks across North
Somerset as part of our drive to encourage people to lead more
active lives.
Run in partnership with the
NHS North Somerset they
are open to anyone wanting to build some physical activity into
their everyday lives. The walks vary in length and take from 30
minutes to one hour.
They are also open to those who would like to walk in a friendly
and supportive environment.
Walks have been arranged for December in these
locations:
- Monday 1 December 11am, Scotch Horn Leisure Centre,
Nailsea
- Monday 1 December 2pm, Kewstoke Village Hall,
Weston-super-Mare
- Tuesday 2 December 11am, St James Church Hall, Woodborough Rd,
Winscombe
- Tuesday 2 December 2pm, The Glebelands, Yatton (walk at
Claverham)
- Monday 8 December 11am, Scotch Horn Leisure Centre,
Nailsea
- Monday 8 December 2pm, Ship and Castle Public House,
Congresbury
- Tuesday 9 December 11am, Woodborough Arms public house,
Winscombe
- Monday 15 December 11am, Scotch Horn Leisure Centre,
Nailsea
- Monday 15 December 11am, Coach House public house, Locking
- Tuesday 16 December 2pm, The Glebelands, Yatton
- Monday 22 December 11am, Scotch Horn Leisure Centre,
Nailsea
- Tuesday 23 December 11am, Woodborough Arms public house,
Winscombe
On all walks it is advisable to wear suitable clothing and
footwear for all weather conditions as some walks will be muddy and
slippery. Dogs are not allowed on the health walks.
If you would like to become a
health walks leader and make a difference to the health of your
community then we hold free training twice a year.
The one day workshops are ideal for those who want to support a
current health walks programme or start one in an area where none
exists.
