Is your new year's resolution to get fit for 2012?
Or are you hoping to tone up after over indulging at
Christmas? If the answer to these questions is yes,
then a new exercise class starting at The Campus in
Weston-super-Mare could be for you.
From Tuesday 10 January The Campus will be running weekly
circuit training classes every week between 7.30 and
8.30pm.
Circuit training uses different exercises to work different
parts of the body. All the exercises can be adapted for
different levels of ability so the sessions are suitable for all
levels of fitness.
And because the exercises combine resistance and aerobic
workouts, regular circuit training can improve strength and stamina
as well maintaining a healthy heart.
"We’re really looking forward to adding circuit training
sessions to our weekly programme here," said Paul Hillman,
community services manager at The Campus.
"We want everyone to feel welcome here and enjoy the class as
well as keep fit. You don’t need to be a fitness fanatic to
take part in our sessions – the aim is simply to stay healthy and
have fun."
Each session costs just £4 and there is no need to book in
advance – simply turn up and pay on the day! The sessions
will be taken by local instructor Peter Clark and all equipment
will be provided.
Other exercise classes at The Campus include:
Pilates - a general strengthening exercise class suitable for
beginners to intermediate levels - Mondays, 6.30 to 7.30pm.
Aerobics - using low impact exercises suitable for all abilities -
Wednesdays, 8 to 9pm and Saturdays, 10 to 11am.
Full body conditioning - an equipment based resistance class to
tone the whole body - Thursdays, 6.30 to 7.30pm.
