Do you want to be healthier? Then a free course aimed at
anyone who wants to be more active, improve their eating habits,
feel better and get healthier could be for you!
The World Health Organisation states that 'people should be
encouraged to take responsibility for their own health', and
Go4Life aims to empower people to do just that.
The second Go4Life Healthy Lifestyle Course, run in partnership
with North Somerset Council’s Community Learning Team, will
take place at Clevedon Town Council Hall and is due to start on
Thursday April 29 and finish on Thursday June 10. Each session
lasts from 10am until 12.30pm and you will learn how to eat more
healthily; make physical activity fun; feel better about yourself;
and relax!
The course will be fun and friendly and there will be lots of
activities to help you learn and remember. You will be given lots
of tips, activities, new skills and useful information to help you
make the changes you want.
Attendance is free (although you must register in advance) and
open to all North Somerset residents over the age of 19. If you
would like to register your interest please contact North Somerset
Council's Community Learning Team on 01275 888 402 or email
community.learning@n-somerset.gov.uk
The first course is running at the moment at the Potteries
Community Centre in Weston-super-Mare until the end of March and is
proving to be very popular.
Go4Life is a North Somerset scheme which encourages and supports
people to get more healthy and active in their everyday lives.
Working with local communities the team helps develop new and
exciting ways for people to get more involved with active
living.
Go4Life encourages anyone who does not take part in 30 minutes
of activity three times a week.
