We host a range of exhibitions and events at North Somerset Museum in Weston-super-Mare.

The following are free to ticket holders except where stated:

People's Collections
An ongoing programme of exhibitions of local people's collections which are usually displayed in the museum courtyard for eight weeks.

If you live in North Somerset and have a collection you would like to display contact the museum on 01934 621 028.

The Grand Pier Fire
A special exhibition, created in partnership with the Grand Pier, on the devastating fire of 28 July and its impact, featuring items from the site. The displays will develop and change as more material is salvaged.

Where Land and Sea Meet: the South West coast, past present and future
Until 6 September 2008
This exhibition explores the diversity of the south west coast. Themes include natural history, trade, and holidays. Find out about famous people associated with the region and some unusual facts and figures. Produced by North Somerset Museum and supported by Renaissance in the Regions.

Peggy Nisbet dolls: Kings and Queens series
Until June 2009
For the fifth year running we are hosting a special display of Peggy Nisbet dolls from collector Christine Poulten.

This year's theme is the ever-popular Kings and Queens series of dolls - from King Alfred to Queen Elizabeth II.

New Light on Old Views
13 September - 18 October 2008
An exhibition from the wealth of paintings in the museum's collections, revealing some previously unseen gems.

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight
19 September 2008
Internationally acclaimed storyteller Tim Ralphs joins experimental percussionist Ashley B Tuck in this live adaptation of the 14th century Arthurian tale.

Costume expert and museum volunteer Carolyn Hollands continues her series of talks with an evening devoted to the fashion accessories in the museum's collections.
