Our libraries offer opportunities to work as a
volunteer.
These include supporting the:
Home library service - taking books to people
who can't get to the library
Summer reading challenge – each year we
look for volunteers aged 16 years and above to help staff run the
challenge at some of our libraries.
The aim is to give children something enjoyable to do during the
summer holidays, encouraging reading for pleasure and help prevent
any dip in literacy levels which may occur during the break from
school.
Applications are closed for this year
but please look out for the opportunity next year, in February
2013.
