Read all about it and be part of the National Year of Reading
2008.
The theme for April is ‘read all about it’, to encourage everyone to read anything and everything, anywhere and everywhere.
You can access a wide range of materials to get you reading through our libraries, including fiction books, romance, science fiction, crime novels, bestsellers, historical fiction and quick reads.
We also offer a variety of non-fiction books covering topics such as health and wellbeing, home and family, history and biography.
There are many other ways to read as well, and libraries are here to help. Local and national newspapers are available to read in our libraries, and you can even read them at home using Newsbank or Times Digital Archive on our Online information library.
You can read biographies on the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography and Who's Who which are also available online for you to use from the comfort of your own home, or if you prefer gardening, literature or science dip into Oxford Reference Books Online.
The world wide web is a great way to read more, and the cyberlibrary can help you find what you need. Get online today and read websites, emails, blogs, wikis and podcasts.
If you don't have a computer at home, we can help there too. Visit your local library for free internet access on our library computers.
