We apply filtering software on the computers you use in
our libraries.
Our filtering software prevents the display
of inappropriate or offensive material and prevents
access to illegal materials.
Websites that may be blocked are in the following
categories:
- drugs, alcohol and gambling
- racism and hate
- illegal or questionable
- militancy and extremism
- sex and nudity
- violence
- weapons
The software may also block material that is acceptable. If
you think a website should be available please ask
your local library.
We will need the website address and your contact
details. When we receive the form we will look at the
website and consider unblocking it.
No filtering software can be totally secure so, if you
accidentally access a site which you consider to be offensive
please report the web address to us immediately.
Parents or guardians must assume responsibility for deciding
what resources are appropriate for their children.
