Computer facilities

Our computers give you access to software and a wealth of information.

We have installed:   

• Word for word processing
• Excel for spreadsheets
• Access for databases
• PowerPoint for presentations
• Publisher
• Paint
• Windows XP
• SuperNova v6.53 for screen magnification 
• the scanner PC has Photoshop elements for altering images.   

You can:

• save to floppy disk
• save to USB stick
• burn on to CD
• scan photos to print and save (only one PC will have an A4 scanner so booking is advisable)
• print A4 sheets in black and white or colour for a small charge
• adjust the height of one of the computer desks
• use a large keyboard or tracker ball on one of the computers

We have fast internet for:

• free Ancestry and other subscription websites
• recommended websites on cyberLibrary 
• online ask a librarian
• catalogue searches and reservations
• CV and job information i-points 
• online training
