Children talk, libraries listen

We asked you to tell us what you think about your local library.

During October 2007, anyone 15 or under who came into a North Somerset library was asked to fill in a simple questionnaire.

Over 1,800 children and young people answered the questions. Here are some of the things you said:

The most popular reason for visiting the library was to borrow something. Most of you thought the library was 'good'.

A massive 99.2% of you said the library is 'a friendly place' and 97.2% of you said it is 'a place I want to come to'.

Using the library has helped you to 'read better', 'learn and find things out' and 'do better at school'.

Many of you used computers in the library. Playing games was most popular, followed by looking at websites and homework. 86.9% thought the computers were 'good'.

Thank you to everyone that took part. We need to know what you think of us so we understand what we are doing well and also what we can make better.
