We're
installing self-service machines at libraries across North
Somerset.
The machines mean that you can borrow, return and
renew items quickly without having to wait for us
to do it for you. They also mean that we have more time
to talk to you about library services and help you find what you're
looking for.
The third phase of
the project is due to take place on Wednesday 27 June
at:
The work will be completed outside of normal opening
hours to minimise disruption to users, as a result opening times
will not be affected.
Other libraries involved so far include:
Not forgetting our
two newest libraries that were built with the kiosks installed:
Our Portishead
Library customers have told us that the machines have improved the
library because there are more opportunities to talk to staff who
can help them find books and tell them about the services that the
library offers.
Once self-service
machines have been installed at your library, we recommend you try
using them. We're still on hand if you need us though, and
always happy to show you how they work and answer any questions you
have.
To get a better
idea of how the machines work, you can download a copy of
our self-service machine guidance
poster (pdf, Nov 11, 79KB).
Remember whilst your library is closed you can use other
libraries or visit the
LibrariesWest website
to renew or reserve items.
