Research your family history using Ancestry Library Edition.

 

 

Ancestry Library Edition is available in your local library free of charge. You can trace your family history using this special version of the well known Ancestry.co.uk.

 

Ancestry Library Edition includes:

  • 1841 to 1901 census records, with images of the original records: England, Wales, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man
  • 1841 to 1901 census records, transcriptions only: Scotland
  • Birth, marriage and death indexes
  • UK and Ireland parish and probate records from the 1500s to the 1800s
  • Index of Wills England & Wales 1861-1941
  • Records of English settlers in Barbados, 1637 to 1800
  • Slave Registers in former British Colonial Dependencies, 1812 to 1834
  • BT telephone directories, 1880 to 1984: London and home counties
  • Extensive US, Canadian and other international sources

We also subscribe to the British Library's collection of 19th Century Newspapers online. You will find links to other useful family history and genealogy websites in the family history section of the cyberlibrary.
