Escape to another world with a good story during
the National
Year of Reading
2008.
Your local library has
lots on offer to help you escape this summer.
If you're planning a holiday then we have travel guides,
language courses on CD and tape and books to read by the pool.
You can book your flights and accommodation online using the our
computers, or find out
about the country you're visiting. The
cyberlibrary travel section gives you easy access to a currency
converter, travel advice, maps and more.
If you have a long journey we have entertaining
books including
bestsellers, thrillers and science fiction. We also offer talking
books on CD and tape so you can listen while you travel to your
destination.
We have plenty to offer if you're staying at home too. Get lost
in a twisting, turning novel or watch the
hotest summer film release on DVD.
You can join others from across North Somerset and escape to
another world with the
Wind
in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame, which is 100 years old this
year.
As part of the
National Year of
Reading we are encouraging everyone to read and share their
thoughts about the books they have read. You can post reviews about
books, DVDs and CDs online using the
LibrariesWest website.
Alternatively fill in a review card when you visit
your local
library. |
